Being Alive

September 24, 1994

Price: $8/$5 members and symposium participants.

A musical performance created by Philip Horvitz during his summer residency at Southern Exposure will conclude the day’s activities. “Being Alive” incorporates dialogue, physical movement and song in a performance about changing roles, cultural values and musical theatre. Pulling material from Stephem Sondheim’s swinging bachelor/ soul-searcher musical Company and Eugene O’Neill’s Civil War era re-telling of the Oedipal Myth Mourning Becomes Electra, Being Alive highlights the multi-faceted talents of Horvitz and his supporting caste.
