Adobe Books Backroom Gallery is an alternative exhibition space located inside of Adobe Books, an independent used bookstore in the Mission district. The gallery primarily supports emerging artists and curators through monthly art exhibitions, where artists can make momentous decisions in their practice and experiment freely in the company of their peers. Adobe Books Backroom Gallery explores diverse programming including poetry and performance art, and develops exhibitions that honor the site of the gallery within a bookshop.
