The Young Photographers Program at McClymonds High School

Final Exhibition Artists Reception

The Young Photographers Program at McClymonds High School

The Young Photographers Program at McClymonds High School pairs professional photographers with a group of 7 high school students to teach principles of visual literacy. Through photography, students explore their lives at home and in the world, documenting their families, friends, role models, and environment. For the duration of an entire school year, students learn darkroom techniques, camera operation, and photographic composition. The students also write presonal essays, which correspond with their photographs and document their artistic process.
