Drawing artists needed! Artist and self-defense instructor Melissa Wyman invites participants to go head-to-head in the creation of a collaborative (and combative) drawing. In a sumo-style drawing session, pairs of artists must push, pull, escape or outwit each other in order to complete a single drawing of their personal power animals. Each player may come with his or her own partners, drawing tools, and source images or work with the materials provided and other participants on site. Friday evening will begin with workouts and drawing warm-ups, and each artist will be asked to choose an animal to draw. Melissa Wyman will train all participants in safe and effective techniques to overcome their partner and get their own power animal down on paper. Physically combative participation is encouraged but not required. Wear comfortable clothing. Up to thirty people may participate.
