Paul Windsor
Transformer: The Process of Recovery
September 4th-October 3, 1992
Opening Reception: 6-8pm, September 4th, 1992.
In his installation Transformer: The Process of Recovery Paul Windsor constructs metaphorical machines which portray present day technology. By physically placing a written wish into the piece, the viewer becomes actively engaged in the process of the installation, a mystically man made and shrine-like environment created from organic materials and discarded objects, such as books and containers. In the piece, which deals with the recovering of lost information in the quest of rebuilding and taking control of the future, the artist hopes to ‘entice others into their own imagination.
