Using the sewing machine in place of a pencil, Schwarz sketches her sub-urban sceneries in brown and green stitching on canvas and denim.  Schwarz takes inspiration for these images from her daily commute between San Francisco and Marin. These works image the post-hippie, 70s architecture of the Marin landscape as a distant memory, a place perhaps not unlike Schwarz’s own childhood surroundings.  No Regrets offers a glimpse of the space between destinations, between here and there, between past and present.
