Ideas of marginality and perception of value surround Brooklyn-based artist Sheila Moss’ Lost Horizon. Through two central pieces, Moss explores our assumptions of value based on pervasive, and primarily western, bodies of thought. The juxtaposition of elements, the internal and the external, examine the way in which bodies of knowledge are named, classified, valued or discarded.
