“Well-toned, voluptuous and stylish, The Body You Want is a cleverly titled group show of installations that are smart and sexy. Focusing on notions of desire—gay and lesbian in particular—artists Tony Greene, Doug Ischar and Millie Wilson each put sexual preference through a theoretical wringer. Using elements such as ‘60s Physique magazine photos, dioramas, newspaper page layouts, and text from educational pamphlets, these artists come up with works that are alternately romantic, rational and intellectual”(from an article by Glen Helfan in SF Weekly, August 16^th, 1989).
