4-week online course in manifesting your EQ By Dorothy Santos

Lectures via Instagram Stories @deedottiedot posted weekly at 4:30pm PST (online only)

2018 CEM Resident Dorothy Santos will present a 4 week Instagram Stories course on building emotional intelligence in the digital age. Her lectures will address the concepts of emotional intelligence (EQ), how it manifests in digital and physical space, and exercises for building empathy and EQ. In the first week, participants will be introduced to the concept of EQ and how it materializes in digital and physical space. In the second week, we will explore body scanning and understanding physical sensations connected to various human systems, and specifically the nervous system. In the third week, we will learn how to identify where feelings reside within the body and how to build “emotional muscle.” The last week will focus on turning EQ into empathy and wisdom. These methods of instruction are inspired by the work and research of Jeanne Segal, Ph.D., adapted specifically for the digital age.

Dorothy will also join computational media scholar Professor Katherine Isbistermachine learning artist and digital anthropologist Caroline Sinders, and Replika co-founder Eugenia Kuyda for a panel discussion on empathy in the age of emotional intelligence.
