“THE BEAST” explores how physical, emotional and psychological power and fear manifest in domestic violence. Donald Byrd/The Group is in residency at Theatre Artaud from March 20-31 and will present two evening-length works: the sizzling movement-based “Bristle” and “THE BEAST”.

The New York- based Donald Byre/The Group’s work ranges in form from pure dance to dance/ theatre with a thematic emphasis on social concerns. Byre’s movement style is distinctly American, integrating Black Vernacular dancing with classical ballet and modern dance techniques.
