Our Annual Fundraiser and Art Auction, WE CAN BE HEROES, is a celebration of the Southern Exposure community’s ability to resist, confront, and thrive in a world replete with social and political challenges. Marked by a fierce glamour and punctuated by hopeful moments of protest, the year ahead will be defined by our large and small heroic efforts. On March 18, the great hall of Minnesota Street Project is revealed as a gathering space for heroes of all creeds, filled with a battalion of artworks in our live and silent auctions, delicious food and drinks, and artist-led experiences.

VIP PREVIEW EVENING

Wednesday, March 15, 2017, 6:00 – 8:30 PM
Purchase a VIP ticket to attend this intimate evening in advance of the auction. It includes studio visits with auction artists, a walkthrough with our ED, and the opportunity to be our earliest buyers!

AUCTION PREVIEW EXHIBITION

March 11, 14 – 16, 2017, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Preview the artwork before the auction and place absentee bids. The preview exhibition at Minnesota Street Project is free and open to the public.

First time bidding at an auction? Welcome!

When you arrive at the event, you'll register for a bid number. With that in hand, you can place bids on all Silent Auction lots (make sure your bid isn't lower than the allowable starting bid or the minimum raise for that item!) from when you arrive until the staggered close of the Silent Auction.
During the Live Auction, from 8:00 – 9:00 PM, it's just like the movies. When you want to bid for an artwork, raise your bid number towards the Auctioneer. The highest bidder acknowledged by the Auctioneer will be the buyer.
All acquisitions must be purchased in full and taken home the evening of the auction. We'll carefully wrap your purchases! (Special arrangements for pick-up can be made for unusually large and heavy works.)
