The work is a functional straw hat in the form of the Rialto Bridge.

Anandamayi is a graduate of Brown University and lives and works in Berkeley. Her small sculptural paper surprise balls are currently available at Tail of the Yak and Castle in the Air in Berkeley, and at Dieci in Osaka, Japan. She performed as the Balloon Seller in Allison Smith's The Cries of San Francisco at Southern Exposure and created a series of paper dresses that were featured in FOR-SITE's International Orange at Fort Point. She is currently planning a show for this spring in collaboration with ceramicist Lynn Landor at The Barbara Anderson Gallery in Berkeley.
