This was a piece produced for Art Practical as a collaborative response to a poem by Ronaldo Wilson. It was originally a collage on paper that has been turned into an archival inkjet print.  

Katie Dorame is a visual artist working in Oakland. Dorame’s work has been exhibited at the Galería de la Raza, Incline Gallery, SOMArts, the Thacher Gallery at USF as well as the Handwerker Gallery at Ithaca College in New York. She received her MFA from CCA and her BA from UCSC. She is an Indigenous artist, of mixed descent and member of the Gabrielino/Tongva tribe of California.
