Artists In Education Event

Untinted Windows/Crowded Doorways

Spring 2005 Youth Advisory Board

June 3, 2005

Southern Exposure’s Youth Advisory presents the Third Annual Open House. This evening event featured a youth slide show, community based organizations, and performances. The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is a group of high school and college students, community members, and artists from diverse communities in the Bay Area. YAB serves as a task force to empower youth through arts advocacy, events, and workshops. YAB members develop arts related projects that create a network for young artists to engage and interact with one another. Southern Exposure teaches YAB members to use art as a community-building tool and provides a space for them to create projects, events, and have their collective voices heard.

Collaborators: Colored Ink, First Exposures from SF Camerawork, Inspiring Young Emerging Leaders from Crissy Field Center, Jazz Monsters, The DJ Project, The San Francisco Youth Commission, Youth Movement Records, and Youth Speaks.
