In its second year, the GIRL Project (“Giving and Inspiring Responsibility in Life”) works to break the cycle of young women’s contact with the Juvenile Justice System. Girl Threads is the culminating exhibition for the fall and spring projects and features beaded shakarees and maracas, textile collages, photographic portraits, and a collaborative video.
