Southern Exposure is thrilled to present our spring Artists in Education exhibition. Residual Threads is about the layering of frayed fringes, fragmented phrases, woven together cultures, structures of faith, mismatched patch work, odes to the matriarch, the tranquil life, and hidden realness. At the heart of this exhibition is a through line of perseverance, self-reflection, and self-preservation. 

Residual Threads is a group exhibition featuring drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture by young artists, including works by our Youth Advisory Board (YAB), Contemporary Classrooms, and our teen open call, juried by the members of YAB. Contemporary Classrooms is a partnership between SoEx and art classes at George Washington High School.
