Whitney Lynn is a multi-media artist who explores the messy intersections between political, military, and civilian cultures. Her work has been exhibited at Exit Art, New York; Intersection for the Arts, San Francisco; the Headlands Center for the Arts, Sausalito, CA; and 1708 Gallery, Richmond, VA. Lynn also writes on topics related to visual culture and is the recipient of travel grants from the College Art Association and the Southeastern College Art Conference. Born on an Air Force Base in Williams, AZ, she received her BFA in Sculpture + Extended Media from Virginia Commonwealth University and her MFA in New Genres from the San Francisco Art Institute. She teaches at University of the Pacific and Saint Mary’s College of California.
