Chris Bell’s research-based art practice yields installations and experiments that test specific sites both physically and historically. Bell’s primary focus is electro-mechanics, which he uses to manipulate light, sound and images. Originally from Australia, Bell has had artwork included in a number of solo and group exhibitions in Sydney and Melbourne. He has been awarded a number of grants and a public commission in Australia within the last few years. Bell holds a BFA from Sydney College of Arts and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He received an MFA from Stanford University.
