Susan Miller
Susan Miller is a curator and museum professional with a career focus on regional art and culture. From 1993 to 2005 she was the Executive Director of San Francisco’s New Langton Arts where she organized numerous projects including Trust Me, a survey of the art of Tony Labat, Jim Pomeroy: A Retrospective; Jovial Tales for Tragic Sensibilities: Jeanne Finley and John Muse, Alchemy by Lyle Ashton and Thomas Allen Harris; Sound Culture 1996: 3rd Transpacific Sound Art Festival; Of Sound Mind; The Library: A Reading Room on the Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the annual Bay Area Award Show. More recently as an independent producer she has developed projects for The Exploratorium, Gant Inc., Cory McAbee, Other Minds, Stanford University, and others. Miller holds a B.A. in Fine Arts from Colby College, Waterville, ME (1980) and is working towards an M.A. in Visual Criticism from the California College of Arts. She is currently an adjunct professor in Fine Arts at the University of San Francisco.
Abner Nolan
Abner Nolan is a San Francisco-based artist and curator. His work has been included in exhibitions at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the Nelson Gallery at UC Davis, and the Wattis Institiute for Contemporary Arts. For the past three years he was a member of the curatorial committee at Southern Exposure, and previously, was director of the gallery at Spanganga, an artist-run space in the Mission District. He is currently an adjunct professor in the photography program at the California College of the Arts.
