Chelsea Heikes is a German-born artist currently completing her BFA at California College of the Arts in San Francisco and Oakland. Her work involves archaic object-making methods such as textiles and ceramics that are then infused with modern technology to create installation and performative spaces. She also studies and/or trains in Butoh, rock climbing, yoga, contact dance, and Tibetan Buddhism - all of which inform the context in which her art work is made.
