If you are unable to attend the Space Odyssey Art Auction on Saturday, May 8, 2010, you may still designate a Southern Exposure representative to bid on items in your absence, through an absentee bid. Absentee bids can be submitted anytime prior to or during the event.

To submit an absentee bid:
- First obtain a bid number by purchasing an event ticket. See ticket purchasing here: www.soex.org/odysseytickets.html
- Next, return a completed Absentee Bid Form to Southern Exposure. Absentee bids may be submitted in person, by mail, by fax, or by phone. Absentee bid forms are also available the night of the Art Auction and in this case should be given directly to a Southern Exposure staff member.

Important Details
Individuals who purchase VIP Reception tickets earn the privilege of bidding first on Silent Auction items and offered priority for Absentee Bids. If two or more parties have submitted matching absentee bids, the bid placed by the VIP Reception ticket holder will receive preference, followed by the earliest submitted bid by date and time.

The dollar amount entered will be the maximum bid. Such bids will be executed at the lowest possible increment subject to the reserve price and other bids.

A valid credit card number, with all pertinent information, must be given to secure a bid. This information is confidential and is asked for security reasons. You will be notified by a Southern Exposure staff member if your absentee bid was successful and resulted in a sale. Payment for your auction item can be made by check, cash, or credit card.

All sales by absentee bid are subject to the General Auction Rules.
