Encompassing the many collaborative and individual projects created by the young artists in our Artists in Education programs, Real Feels and Rollercoasters will take you on a journey through the complicated, compassionate and funny lives of those around you. Join us for the culminating presentation of their work!

2015–2016 One-on-One Mentorship Program
Pairs passionate young artists with professional artist mentors who provide valuable individual guidance, develop goals, and share skills, knowledge and expertise with their mentees.
Mentees: Axel, Cameron, Grace, Karla, KiKi, Nora, Radha and Taylor
Mentors: Matt Goldberg, Eliza Gregory, YeRin Kim, Maggie King, Jennifer Klecker, Nina Menconi, Nina Reys Rosenberg, Kate Rhoades and Sofia Sharpe

Spring 2016 Community Arts Internship Program
Offers young artists and activists the opportunity to exercise leadership skills and engage with their community by exploring relevant social and personal issues through the visual arts.
Youth Interns: Alma, Cami, Hridam, Mateo, Nia, Qiqi and Vanesa

Spring 2016 Youth Advisory Board
A small cohort of passionate AIE youth artists who help to promote and facilitate youth involvement in SoEx and advise the organization on the needs of Bay Area youth.

Contemporary Classrooms
An ongoing series of classroom workshops formulated in collaboration with an exhibiting SoEx artist or project – this spring, Robby Herbst and his upcoming New New Games project. Partner high schools and organizations include: Brightworks, First Exposures, Galileo High School, Gateway High School, Ida B. Wells High School, Leadership High School, MetWest High School, Sterne School and SOTA.
