Office hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 10am – 6pmthe thing is a subscription based, mail order art project where artists, writers and filmmakers will be invited to create a household object that somehow incorporates text. Every four months a new object will be hand wrapped in brown paper package and string and mailed to subscribers. The first four artists involved in the project are Miranda July, Anne Walsh, Kota Ezawa, and Trisha Donnelly. Artists Jonn Herschend and Will Rogan will maintain office hours for the duration of their residency while they work to launch the thing.
