An Artist Educator Workshop

This workshop is free, open to Artist Educators and takes place at Southern Exposure

Join Southern Exposure and KQED to learn about local conceptual artists, and gain ideas for student projects that focus on ideas, rather than techniques.

Make learning more participatory and dynamic by introducing your students to artists who emphasize process over product. Workshop attendees will meet at Southern Exposure's new space and enjoy a curatorial tour of their latest exhibition Alchemy, view KQED Spark videos about local conceptual artists, and work in small groups to develop lesson plans based on themes related to conceptual art. Artist talk by John Chiara, who was spotlighted on KQED’s SPARK and is one of the participating artists in Alchemy, a group show currently on view at Southern Exposure until April 24th 2010
