Southern Exposure hosts two days of celebration in honor of the opening of our new home at 3030 20th Street in San Francisco, our 35th Anniversary, and the opening of our inaugural exhibition at 20th Street, Bellwether. From Friday to Saturday we’ve closed Alabama Street between 19th and 20th for a block party as well as artists’ projects, music, food, and drinks, and to welcome you to be a part of SoEx.

ACTIVITIES + ARTISTS PROJECTS
+ Artist Project 8:30 pm - A Proclamation: Banner Year by Liz Glynn
As part of the member’s opening party, artist Liz Glynn will preview her project Banner Year to Southern Exposure guests in a short ceremonial performance. The official unfurling of the banner will take place Saturday evening at 7:00 pm.
+ Snapshots by local luminary photographers Todd Hido, Vanessa Marsh, Abner Nolan, and Michael Rauner of the occasion. Pictures will be uploaded to soex.org.
+ Tours of the new space by Richard Johnson, SoEx’s architect and designer.
+ Tours of Bellwether, SoEx’s inaugural exhibition by artists and members of SoEx’s Curatorial Committee.
+ Music with DJ Frau Holly.
+ Bicycle Valet Parking by the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition.
